Hair length alone is not enough to select a clip. Density, strand diameter, curl pattern, layering and the intended style all change the bundle. A multi-size range can serve more use cases, but the assortment should follow fit testing and sales data rather than a promised multiplier.

How to Measure a Claw Clip

• Length: the widest measurement across the top of the clip, tip to tip.
• Opening width: how far the jaws open — critical for thick hair.
• Tooth count: more teeth = more grip for fine hair; fewer, wider teeth = better for thick hair.
• Spring tension: test by opening and closing 20+ times; tension should stay consistent.
